ACT
Keep in mind that online registration takes about 30-40 minutes, and you will need a headshot photo of whoever is taking the test. Registration costs $94 if you’re taking the Writing portion or $69 if you aren’t, as long as you register before the normal deadline. After that, it will be an additional $38. There are other costs involved if you change test centers and dates.

SAT
SAT registration doesn’t have to take as long as ACT registration, but it will if you choose to answer detailed questions about yourself to enter the College Board’s Student Search Service. Like with ACT registration, you will need to upload a photo of whoever is taking the test. Registration costs $68. The late registration fee is $30.
