    The Science Behind the COVID-19 Vaccine (April 27, 2021)

    Join Private Prep chemistry and biology tutor and Weill Cornell Clinical Epidemiology masters candidate Mark Bernard as he discusses the latest on the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines, and why getting vaccinated to stop the spread of COVID-19 is critically important. Mark will discuss how the vaccines were created and tested, how they work with your immune system, how viruses spread, and more as he debunks myths and presents the facts on CDC cases and vaccine statistics in a compelling and eye-opening presentation.

    At Weill Cornell, Mark is part of the Vaccine Awareness Coalition, a collection of researchers from a consortium of NYC hospitals, including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Hunter College, and Cornell University.
