Small Group Learning for Ages 3 to 5

We make education come alive for young learners, no matter where your child’s classroom may be

It’s never too soon to inspire a love of learning and to begin building academic skills through the natural curiosity of young children. While not intended to replace existing education models, our Early Learning Pods were created to help alleviate some of the pressures felt by parents not trained as teachers but suddenly facing home education support. These groups are perfect for families looking for an instructor to lead in-home academic activities and playtime for preschool-age children.

Our Pods are versatile and flexible to the needs of each specific group. If there are specific needs your Pod is aiming to address, let us know how we can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What ages will benefit from Early Learning Pods?

Our Early Learning pods are intended for children ages three to five, with up to five children in a pod together. We recommend that all students in the pod are within a one year age range of one another.

  • What will children experience in Early Learning Pods?

In these small, in-person groups, students will foster social and emotional development while working on fine and gross motor skills in a fun, engaging, playful manner, as well as diving into some pre-math and pre-reading skills. Teachers will work closely with children in a safe and supportive environment, ensuring that children can continue to develop essential social skills within a trusted peer group.

  • When and where will classes be offered?

These classes are offered in person and at home. Families will put together their own pods (for one to five kids) and offer a host site for the classes (which can be rotated throughout the semester). Classes begin September 1 and require a semester commitment of at least 12 weeks. Flexible scheduling is available depending on the needs of the pod, but our team recommends holding class three or five days per week in three hour increments, either in the morning or afternoon. Please note that these small groups are not available in all markets; contact us to learn more.

  • What about COVID-19 concerns?

Private Prep takes the health and safety of our clients and staff very seriously. Our teachers will be required to wear masks at all times and complete a health questionnaire before each day of work to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Families will be required to follow state and local guidelines and will go through an interactive process with our team to determine additional mutually agreed upon safety protocols for their pod.
