Registration for ACT test dates for the 2023-2024 school year will open on July 10. Test centers can fill up very quickly, so we recommend you register well in advance of any dates you are considering. When registering, we recommend that families only complete the required questions and leave all non-required questions blank. Below are the test dates that will open for registration:
- September 9, 2023
- October 28, 2023
- December 9, 2023
- February 10, 2024
- April 13, 2024
- June 8, 2024
- July 13, 2024
*The July ACT will not be available in New York.
We also recommend ordering the Test Information Release (TIR) for all ACT tests that allow it (September, April, and June). At this time, most students do not need to register for the ACT with optional writing.
The December ACT will offer an online option at select locations. At this time, we do not recommend that students sign up for this pilot online version—instead, we suggest sticking with the paper ACT. Read more about why we suggest avoiding the digital pilot here.
