How Our Book Series Can Enhance Your Child’s Private Prep Experience

Mastering test prep, one subject at a time.

How our books series can enhance your child’s Private Prep experience

There are lots of test prep books to choose from for students. So, you might be wondering—why did Private Prep decide to write our own set of ACT prep books? For the Private Prep team, it’s simple: the books out there don’t give students the experience we think they deserve. With a dedicated Curriculum Team and experienced tutor authors, Private Prep has crafted the For the Love of ACT series with a few key features:

  • Designed for students: So many test prep books feel like a dense textbook. As tutors, we know that students are already working hard in school and don’t need another textbook—they need a friendly test prep guide. The authors have taken the accessible way we explain concepts to students and turned them into book form.
  • Categorized by subject: While students will take all of the test sections, the way a student approaches a grammar section isn’t the same as a math section, reading section, or science section. Having four separate books allows students to focus on the best approaches to each section individually.
  • Rooted in expertise: All Private Prep tutors go through a rigorous training program to become test prep experts. They learn tried-and-true strategies and the best ways to help students learn and grow. Because our books mirror the strategies tutors learn in training, students will get the most cohesive and clear experience possible.
  • Updated frequently: The standardized tests, despite the name, don’t always stay the same. Private Prep stays on top of the latest test trends to help students anticipate what they will see on test day. Outside materials may not be updated for years, but we examine our book sets annually to ensure they are up-to-date.

Private Prep’s For the Love of ACT series is a key aspect of the work we do with our students and keeps us on the cutting edge of test prep. To learn more about our books or Private Prep in general, check out our resources library or contact us to schedule a complimentary consultation.
